The Saudi stock market held near the 11,000-point mark during early September 2026, as the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) recorded only modest daily moves amid mixed non-oil economic data. Trading takes place through the Saudi Exchange via licensed brokers and digital channels used by residents and investors across the Kingdom.
Over recent sessions the index has traded broadly between about 11,000 and 11,050 points, with daily changes ranging from roughly −0.2% to +0.3%. On 2 September, TASI fell 0.8% to close at 11,012 points, with turnover of about SAR 4.2 billion. It later recovered, rising 0.32% to 11,068.65 points on 6 September on turnover near SAR 2.96 billion.
The upward move was short-lived. On 7 September the index eased 0.4% to 11,024.73 points, with turnover around SAR 3.42 billion. By 9 September it closed at 11,015.72 points, down 0.19%, on trading volume of roughly 180 million shares. The following day, 10 September, the market slipped further to around 11,007 points, down about 0.08%.
Placed in a wider frame, the index ended the first quarter of 2026 at 11,249.54 points, about 6.45% lower on a year-on-year basis for that quarter, underlining a generally cautious tone through the year.
For everyday investors, the key takeaway is that recent moves have been small and range-bound rather than sharp. Prices shown on public dashboards are typically delayed rather than real-time, and any trading costs — such as brokerage commissions, exchange fees, and settlement charges — vary by broker and product rather than being a single fixed figure. Those following the market are advised to check figures through their licensed brokers before making decisions.
