Passengers travelling through Saudi airports are being advised to check their flight details directly with their airline before leaving home. Before heading to the airport, travellers should confirm their flight status, booking status, departure time, and terminal to avoid disruption.
A confirmed booking does not guarantee that the schedule or terminal will remain unchanged. Airlines are recommending that passengers monitor official notifications for any cancellations, delays, or rerouting that may affect their journey.
Saudia passengers can verify their reservations through the airline's Manage My Booking service using a six-character booking reference or a 13-digit e-ticket number together with the passenger's surname. Online check-in is available from 48 hours and up to 1 hour before departure for most domestic and international flights, with flights departing to the United States excluded.
For airport arrival, Saudia recommends reaching the airport 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international flights. Currently, some Riyadh operations are being routed through Al Qassim Airport and Dammam Airport, with Saudia providing bus transport to Riyadh for affected tickets.
Rebooking and waivers
Saudia's reported disruption waiver allows free rebooking or cancellation for eligible Saudia-operated flights to, from, or via Riyadh through 31 October 2026. Passengers are encouraged to review their eligibility and options in advance.
It is worth noting that no general Saudi government fee, Absher procedure, Muqeem procedure, or fixed passenger charge applies to verifying an airline booking or flight schedule. Checking flight details is a free step that can save travellers time and stress at the airport.
