Al Hilal beat Al Fayha 1-0 to chase title

Al Hilal secured a hard-fought 1-0 away victory over Al Fayha in the Saudi Pro League on 21 May 2026 at Al Majma'ah Sport City Stadium in Al Majma'ah, keeping their title challenge alive until the closing stages of the season.

The decisive moment came through Sultan Mandash, whose goal proved enough to hand Al Hilal all three points on the road and maintain pressure on league leaders Al Nassr in the race for the championship.

Despite the win, Al Hilal ultimately finished second in the standings behind Al Nassr, who claimed top spot at the end of the campaign.

The result underlined Al Hilal's determination to compete for the title until the final rounds, a storyline that captured the attention of football fans across Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond. For the Kingdom's large and passionate football community, the closely contested title race added extra excitement to the tail end of the season.

Al Fayha, playing in front of their home crowd in Al Majma'ah, were unable to find an equaliser and left the pitch on the losing side of a tight encounter decided by a single goal.
