AlUla Dates Season 2026 Opens With Free Entry

The seventh edition of the AlUla Dates Season opened on Friday, 18 September 2026, as part of the wider 2026–2027 Khayrat AlUla agricultural season, bringing local farmers, traders and visitors together to celebrate the region's date harvest.

Public activities run at the Al-Manshiyah Farmers Market (AlManshiyah Plaza) in AlUla city from 18 to 27 September 2026, typically opening from the late afternoon into the evening to align with National Day and family events in the plaza. Entry to the market is free of charge, and visitors pay only for their purchases or for any separately ticketed experiences.

Alongside the market, the commercial AlUla Dates Auction is held at Al-Fursan Village in AlUla governorate, operating on weekends until 15 November 2026, with live bidding and direct sales during daytime and early-evening sessions. Local farmers and traders bring their harvested dates for on-site participation coordinated through event organizers and farmer associations.

Varieties and prices

The season showcases prized local varieties including Barni, Majdool, Halwa Hamra, Anbara and Sifri. At the farmers' market, common bulk varieties such as Barni, Halwa Hamra and Sifri typically sell for around SAR 15–30 while premium types like large Majdool and Anbara gift boxes range from SAR 40–80 Curated gift packs are often priced between SAR 80 and SAR 150, and small tasting portions or mixed sample boxes generally cost SAR 10–25.

For residents and visitors, the season offers an easy, family-friendly way to buy fresh local dates directly from growers, discover new varieties, and enjoy an evening out in AlUla. Official event details for the Dates Season are published through the Royal Commission for AlUla and the Experience AlUla platform.
