Border Guard Safety Exhibition Opens at Nakheel Mall

A public awareness exhibition organized by the General Directorate of Border Guard is currently open at Nakheel Mall in Riyadh (Exit 9, King Abdullah Road), running until 18 July 2026. Entry is free of charge, and the exhibition is part of the Ministry of Interior's ongoing efforts to educate residents on maritime safety and border security regulations.

The exhibition covers Border Guard and beach-use regulations, penalties for swimming in non-designated areas, and safety instructions for those heading to the sea. It also highlights search-and-rescue operations and the importance of ensuring that marine vessels are seaworthy before setting sail.

Emergency numbers and reporting

Visitors are reminded of the main emergency contact numbers. Residents in Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah, and the Eastern Province can call 911 for emergencies and to report border or security-related incidents, while 994 serves other regions for Border Guard and maritime emergencies. In wider awareness campaigns, residents may also use 999 and 996 depending on their region.

The initiative is linked to broader campaigns such as “Watan Bila Mukhalif” (Nation Without Violator), which explain the Border Security Law. The law prohibits illegal entry or attempts to cross the Kingdom's borders and sets out imprisonment and fines for anyone who assists violators to enter, transports them inside the Kingdom, shelters them, or provides any form of service or assistance.

Authorities encourage residents to cooperate with security bodies and to report suspected violations through the official emergency numbers. The exhibition is held in the mall's main exhibition area, with timings aligned to mall opening hours; exact details are posted onsite. For families and sea-goers, it offers a practical, easy-to-access reminder of how to stay safe and stay within the law.
