Jeddah Malls Extend Hours for 2026 Sales Campaign

Shopping malls and marketplaces across Jeddah are extending their opening hours and rolling out special weekend promotions to draw families and visitors during the 2026 Sales Campaign, a national discount season that runs from 1 August to 31 October 2026.

Across the Kingdom, including Jeddah, the campaign features more than 1 million discounted products at physical stores and online outlets. Notably, promotional discounts offered under the campaign do not count against retailers' normal annual discount allowance, giving stores extra room to compete for shoppers.

How the discounts are regulated

Retailers must obtain electronic discount permits through the Ministry of Commerce's official online sales portal. These permits can be printed and displayed in stores and used on promotional materials. All participating retailers must apply a barcode and permit system on their promotions so customers can verify that a discount is officially registered and licensed. The Ministry of Commerce continues to monitor stores for compliance throughout the August–October period.

To welcome the extra footfall, many Jeddah malls operate longer hours during major sales seasons, typically from 10:00 to midnight on regular days and stretching to around 01:00–02:00 on Thursday and Friday nights. Earlier in the year, several Jeddah grocery chains showed how late-night trading works for family shopping, with some branches opening as early as 05:00 and staying open past midnight during seasonal offers.

For residents and visitors, the campaign means a longer, well-regulated window to shop at better prices. Shoppers are encouraged to check for the official permit barcode on promotional displays and to plan visits around extended weekend hours to make the most of the offers.
