Jeddah has completed its preparations to host Gulf Cup 27, with two stadiums in the city set to welcome eight Gulf national teams across 15 matches from 23 September to 6 October 2026.
The tournament will be staged at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium — listed for the event as Al-Inma Stadium — and at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium, which can accommodate around 27,000 spectators. Together, the two venues form the backbone of the city's hosting plan.
Organizers say readiness now covers every operational area. Pitches and stadium facilities have been prepared, alongside support services, dedicated zones for teams and delegations, and media facilities. Plans for spectator entry and exit, crowd management, security, safety, and medical services have also been finalized, together with arrangements for moving fans smoothly inside and around the venues.
Why it matters
The Gulf Cup is one of the region's most followed football events, and hosting it in Jeddah places the city at the center of regional sporting attention. For residents and expats alike, it means a packed schedule of high-profile matches close to home, along with the wider activity such tournaments bring to the city.
