LIONS Riyadh Festival to Boost Creative Industries

Saudi Arabia has launched LIONS Riyadh, a new festival dedicated to the creative industries, with the inaugural edition scheduled for 6–8 December 2027 at the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in Riyadh. The launch took place in September 2026.

The festival is organized by Tahaluf, the Saudi Ministry of Media, and the global LIONS network. It is planned as a non-awards festival, focusing instead on creative marketing effectiveness, creative excellence, culture, industry innovation, learning, and networking.

Organizers say a central aim of LIONS Riyadh is the development of regional creative talent, bringing together professionals from marketing, media, and the wider creative sector to share knowledge and build connections.

Why it matters

For Riyadh's growing community of creatives, marketers, and media professionals, the festival adds a major international platform to the capital's calendar and reflects the expanding role of the creative economy in the Kingdom. Hosting the event at KAFD places it in one of Riyadh's key business hubs.

As of now, 2026 ticket prices, registration steps, the official booking channel, daily timings, access requirements, and validity periods have not been publicly specified, and no fees in Saudi Riyal are currently available. Residents and expats interested in attending are advised to await official details closer to the event dates.
