Mahd Academy Football Tryouts in 16 Saudi Cities 2026

Mahd Sports Academy is opening nationwide football talent tryouts across 16 Saudi cities, running from September to December 2026. The program targets young players born between 2013 and 2017, giving boys in these youth age groups a structured pathway to have their skills assessed.

The tryouts will be held in Abha, Makkah, Tabuk, Jazan, Hail, Qassim, Hafr Al-Batin, Al-Baha, Madinah, Arar, Yanbu, Najran, Sakaka, Wadi Al-Dawasir, Taif, and Al-Kharj. Families can choose the host city and the available date slot that suits them from the options published on the academy's platform.

How to register

Registration is handled directly through Mahd Sports Academy's official tryouts portal at mahd.gov.sa/try-outs. Parents fill in the player's personal and contact details, select a city and available date, then submit the form and wait for a confirmation message with the scheduled trial details.

Registration for these tryouts is not processed through Absher, مقيم, قوى, ناجز, نفاذ, توكلنا, or any other ministry e-service — it is managed solely through Mahd's own website and platforms.

Selected candidates attend a first performance trial lasting one day. Players who impress may be invited to a second, more detailed performance trial running up to one week for deeper evaluation.

Only players within the 2013–2017 birth range are eligible, and participation is limited to the officially listed host cities and scheduled venues. Current 2026 announcements and the tryouts page do not state any registration fee or participation price, and no payment through government fee systems is required.

For residents and expat families across the Kingdom, the wide geographic spread means young footballers from smaller cities as well as major hubs can take part without traveling long distances — part of a growing push to widen access to sports talent development in Saudi Arabia.
