Active Program Expands to Five Saudi Cities

A nationwide community sports initiative is returning for a fourth edition, running from November 2025 to March 2026 across five Saudi cities. The Active Program is open to Saudi and non-Saudi males and females aged 6 to 18, offering a wide range of free activities.

The program's lineup includes football, basketball, volleyball, yoga, Zumba, tennis, bootcamp sessions, tournaments, family activities, and beach sports. The first phase was hosted at Al-Uqair in Al-Ahsa as part of the Ramliyah Festival.

Abha activities

Al Mashhad Park in Abha will host sessions from 18 to 24 June 2026, running daily from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Registration for the Abha activities is free and can be completed through the Active Program registration page or via walk-in registration at the venue.

Football is divided into three age groups: 6–10, 11–14, and 15–18. Basketball and volleyball competitions are open to ages 15–18, while the youth beach games are set for ages 16–18 and include family participation.

The initiative supports the Kingdom's goal of encouraging a more active lifestyle and wider community participation in sport. By keeping registration free and welcoming both residents and expatriates, the program makes organized physical activity accessible to families across different regions. The complete five-city venue list, exact schedules, and the remaining 2026 locations have not yet been confirmed.
