Al Hilal Signs Theo Hernández and Darwin Núñez

Al Hilal strengthened its squad during the summer transfer window with the signing of defender Theo Hernández and forward Darwin Núñez, both on three-year contracts, as the club continues building ahead of the coming seasons.

Hernández joined Al Hilal from AC Milan on a deal running through the end of the 2027–28 season. The forward Darwin Núñez arrived from Liverpool, also on a three-year contract. The official announcements did not disclose the transfer fees.

Núñez's fee was placed at around €53 million, equivalent to roughly SAR 216.5 million and potentially including add-ons. This figure has not been officially confirmed as an SAR amount, and no verified official fee was identified for Hernández.

Why it matters

The two signings add international experience to Al Hilal's lineup, with Hernández reinforcing the defensive and attacking flanks and Núñez boosting the club's attacking options. The arrivals reflect the continued ambition of Saudi clubs to attract high-profile players from major European leagues.

For fans in Riyadh and across the Kingdom, the additions raise expectations for the club's performance in local and continental competitions in the seasons ahead.
