Al Hilal beat Al Nassr 3-1 to boost title push

Al Hilal defeated Al Nassr 3–1 on 12 January 2026 in one of the Saudi Pro League's most anticipated fixtures, strengthening their position in the title race.

Salem Al-Dawsari, Mohammed Kanno, and Rúben Neves found the net for Al Hilal, while Cristiano Ronaldo scored Al Nassr's lone goal in the defeat.

The result moved Al Hilal seven points clear of Al Nassr in the standings. In the current Roshn Saudi League table, Al Qadsiah sit top, with Al Hilal second on 21 points and Al Nassr third on 19 points.

Why it matters

The meeting between Al Hilal and Al Nassr remains the biggest draw in Saudi football, pulling in large crowds and wide attention across the Kingdom. For fans in Riyadh and beyond, the win adds fresh momentum to Al Hilal's campaign while putting pressure on their closest rivals.

With the league still tightly contested at the top, the coming rounds are expected to be decisive. Al Qadsiah's position at the summit means both Al Hilal and Al Nassr will need consistent results to stay in contention for the trophy.
