Riyadh is gearing up to host thousands of runners as the Riyadh Marathon 2026 takes place on Saturday, 31 January 2026, at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in the capital. The event offers four distances to suit a wide range of ability levels.

Participants can choose between the full marathon of 42.195 km, the half marathon of 21.0975 km, a 10 km race, and a 5 km run. Age requirements were published for each category: 20 and above for the full marathon, 18 and above for the half marathon, 17 and above for the 10 km, while the 5 km is open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Entry fees were set at SAR 149 for the 42 km, SAR 119 for the 21 km, SAR 85 for the 10 km, and SAR 62 for the 5 km, with registration handled through the official Riyadh Marathon registration website. All race categories are now sold out, reflecting the strong demand for the event.

Registered participants receive a confirmation email containing a QR code to use on race day. Alongside the races, a free festival will run from 28 to 30 January 2026 at Princess Nourah University, giving runners and the wider community a place to gather before the main event.

The marathon continues to grow as one of the capital's flagship community sporting events, bringing together residents and visitors around fitness and an active lifestyle.
