The Riyadh Marathon 2026 drew more than 50,000 runners from 134 countries on 31 January 2026, in a record edition staged at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh. The turnout confirmed the event's standing as one of the largest mass-participation races in the region.

For the fifth consecutive edition, the race secured World Athletics Elite Road Race certification, placing it among a select group of events recognized at the highest international standard. The certification reflects the quality of the course, organization, and timing measurement.

The 2026 programme featured four categories, all of which sold out ahead of race day. Entry fees were set at SAR 149 for the full marathon, SAR 119 for the half marathon, SAR 85 for the 10 km, and SAR 62 for the 4 km Fun Run. Registration was completed through the official Riyadh Marathon platform.

Ahead of the race, the Riyadh Marathon Festival welcomed the public from 28 to 30 January 2026 at Princess Nourah University, with free admission. The festival offered activities for runners and families and served as the hub for race preparations.

The growing scale of the event highlights the rising popularity of running and community sport across the capital, giving residents and visitors in Riyadh another major fixture on the city's active-lifestyle calendar.
