Saudi Arabia has completed its group-stage campaign at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, playing all three of its Group H matches across the states of Florida, Georgia, and Texas.
The Green Falcons opened their tournament against Uruguay in Miami Gardens, Florida, on 15 June 2026, kicking off at 6:00 PM local time — which fell at 1:00 AM in Saudi Arabia on 16 June. The match ended in a 1–1 draw.
The team then faced Spain in Atlanta, Georgia, on 21 June, with kick-off at noon local time, corresponding to 7:00 PM in Saudi Arabia. Spain won the encounter 4–0. Saudi Arabia closed out the group against Cape Verde in Houston, Texas, on 26 June, in a match that finished goalless, 0–0. The late-evening kick-off in Houston corresponded to roughly 3:00 AM in Saudi Arabia on 27 June.
Squad drawn largely from the domestic league
The bulk of the national team squad comes from clubs playing inside the Kingdom. In goal, the list features Nawaf Al Aqidi of Al-Nassr and Ahmed Alkassar of Al-Qadsiah, among others. The defence includes Abdulelah Al Amri and Nawaf Boushal of Al-Nassr, Hassan Tambakti, Ali Lajami and Moteb Al Harbi of Al-Hilal, and Ali Majrashi of Al-Ahli, alongside Saud Abdulhamid, who plays abroad at Lens.
In midfield, the squad brings together Nasser Al Dawsari, Mohamed Kanno and Sultan Mandash of Al-Hilal, Abdullah Al Khaibari and Ayman Yahya of Al-Nassr, Ziyad Al Johani of Al-Ahli, and Musab Al Juwayr of Al-Qadsiah.
For Saudi fans following at home, the fixtures underline the strong presence of local league players on the game's biggest stage — a milestone that resonates with the wider ambitions of رؤية السعودية 2030 to grow Saudi sport and raise its international profile.
