The Saudi Olympic Academy has outlined its approved programs for the 2025–2026 season, aiming to strengthen national sports capabilities and raise the quality of education and training across the Kingdom's sports sector.
As part of these efforts, the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and the Ministry of Sport approved support for clubs through 12 sports federations. These cover athletics, judo, taekwondo, karate, jiu-jitsu, swimming, weightlifting, shooting, equestrian, fencing, wrestling, and Paralympic athletics. The support package includes technical and administrative programs, performance development, wider participation, and the provision of sports equipment.
Unleashing young talent
The Academy also highlighted its "Unleash Your Superpowers" talent initiative, which features 35 events held in 14 Saudi cities and runs through 4 July 2026. The initiative targets children and young people across nine Olympic sports, giving families a structured path to discover and nurture promising athletes.
Registration for the talent initiative is handled through the Team Saudi application, making it straightforward for parents and young participants to sign up and take part in events near them.
For residents and families in Riyadh, Jeddah, and other cities, these programs offer new opportunities to engage with organized sport, develop skills early, and connect with national federations — part of a broader push to build a healthier, more active community.
