Saudi Arabia's logistics and e-commerce sectors continued their steady expansion in 2026, fueled by a sharp rise in online shopping and parcel deliveries across the Kingdom. More than 54 million shipments and parcels were delivered nationwide during the third quarter of 2026.
The growth reflects a broader shift in how residents and businesses shop and move goods. Saudi e-commerce orders reached 118 million in the first quarter of 2026, a 49% increase compared with the same period a year earlier.
Riyadh remained the country's busiest market for online purchases, accounting for roughly 44% of all Saudi e-commerce orders in the first quarter of 2026. The capital's dense population and concentration of businesses continue to make it a central hub for parcel traffic.
The surge in demand is also reshaping the delivery industry itself. Saudi Arabia's last-mile delivery market — the final stage that brings packages to customers' doors — was projected at around USD 860 million for 2026, underscoring the scale of investment and activity behind each order.
Why it matters
For residents in Riyadh, Jeddah and other cities, the figures point to faster and more widely available delivery options, more choice from online retailers, and growing competition among logistics providers. For small businesses and entrepreneurs, the expanding market offers more channels to reach customers across the Kingdom.
