Saudi Premium Residency: Fees and Routes Explained

Saudi Living reports on the current structure of the Saudi Premium Residency program, which offers residents and international investors several pathways to live and work in the Kingdom. The available options now cover direct-payment routes as well as category-based routes designed for investors and entrepreneurs.

The two core direct-payment products remain the Limited Duration and Unlimited Duration Premium Residency. The Limited Duration route costs SAR 100,000 per year and is renewable, with a validity of typically one year at a time. The Unlimited Duration route is a permanent option priced at SAR 800,000 one-time, with no annual renewal required.

For applicants pursuing category-based routes, an application fee of SAR 4,000 applies. The Investor Premium Residency is tied to an investment of SAR 7,000,000 and the creation of 10 jobs within two years. The Entrepreneur Premium Residency follows a startup route linked to either SAR 400,000 in funding with at least 20% ownership, or SAR 15,000,000 in funding with at least 10% ownership and 20 jobs.

Validity periods for category-based products generally extend up to five years, with renewal or a move to permanent status depending on the chosen route and the conditions met. Applications are submitted through the Saudi Premium Residency platform via the Premium Residency program, rather than through other government service channels.

The program matters for the community because it gives long-term residents, entrepreneurs, and investors clearer routes to stability in the Kingdom. Applicants should note that no single official fee figure for dependents is published in the current materials, so those with families should confirm any additional processing charges before applying.
