A number of major international sporting events scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia over the coming months have been postponed or canceled, bringing changes to the Kingdom's packed sporting calendar across Riyadh and Jeddah.
The Six Kings Slam tennis tournament in Riyadh, originally set for October 21–24, has been moved to December 27–30, 2026. The FIFAe Finals 2026 in Jeddah, previously scheduled for October 16–25, have also been postponed, with no new dates announced so far.
In golf, the PIF Saudi International at Riyadh Golf Club, planned for November 18–21, has been postponed indefinitely. Meanwhile, two events have been canceled outright: the 2026 UCI Urban Cycling World Championships in Riyadh, which were due to run from November 3–7, and the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship Saudi Arabia round in Jeddah.
What it means for fans
On the domestic front, several Saudi Pro League fixtures have been rescheduled, including a match involving Al Nassr. Fans holding tickets or planning to attend any of the affected events are advised to check for updated dates and arrangements through official channels before making travel or accommodation plans.
Importantly, the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, which Saudi Arabia is set to host from January 7 to February 5, 2027, remains officially on schedule. No postponement for the tournament has been confirmed.
The changes affect a range of sports that have become a growing part of the Kingdom's events landscape, and residents and visitors are encouraged to follow official announcements for the latest confirmed dates.
