A Saudi-Swiss collaboration has introduced six new coffee recipes inspired by local flavors to mark Saudi National Day, blending international coffee expertise with tastes rooted in the Kingdom's culture.
The initiative, developed by the Culinary Arts Commission and Nespresso, features six recipes that draw on distinctly Saudi ingredients. The flavor lineup includes Taif rose, lavender, cardamom, saffron, mint, and lime.
The collection is split between cold and hot offerings. The cold drinks are Rose Freddo, Saudi Rose Breeze, and Lavrose Iced Shaken. The hot options include Rose Tres Leches, Nesaoudi Coffee, and Rose Cortado.
Why it matters
Coffee holds a central place in Saudi hospitality and daily life, and the pairing of local flavors with a well-known coffee brand reflects growing interest in celebrating national identity through food and drink. For residents and expats alike, the recipes offer a fresh way to experience familiar Saudi tastes.
