The Saudi Sports for All Federation and King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah signed a memorandum of understanding on 29 June 2026 to promote physical activity and expand community sports participation across the university's campus.

The agreement covers a broad range of activities, including community sports, student programs, sports events, running races, and motivational initiatives. The initial goal is to reach at least 500 participants annually through jointly organized programs and events.

Under the deal, King Abdulaziz University will provide its sports facilities and halls, along with access to equipment, logistical support, and organizational assistance. The Sports for All Federation will oversee quality and operational standards for the programs delivered through the partnership.

Why it matters

The partnership aims to make regular physical activity more accessible to students and the wider community in Jeddah, supporting healthier lifestyles and encouraging broader participation in organized sports. By combining the university's facilities with the federation's expertise, both parties hope to build sustainable programs that grow over time.

No fees, registration steps, payment requirements, validity period, official application channel, or venue timetable have been announced. Saudi Living will share further details for residents interested in taking part once they become available.
