Saudi national Wael Al-Fayez has been appointed Managing Director of Kings League MENA in September 2026, becoming the first person to hold the role in the region. He will oversee the competition's regional commercial strategy, partnerships, operations, and growth.
Al-Fayez brings significant experience to the position, having previously served as Chief Commercial Officer of the Saudi Pro League. His appointment comes as the fast-growing seven-a-side football format continues to expand its footprint across the Middle East and North Africa.
The move coincides with the start of Kings League MENA's 2026 Split 1, which is scheduled to run in Riyadh from September 18 to October 30, 2026. The competition features 10 teams, with all matches held at Cool Arena in Boulevard Riyadh City.
