Al Hilal moved provisionally to the top of the Saudi Pro League table after beating Al Fayha 3-0 away at Al Majma'ah Sports City Stadium on Thursday, 20 August 2026. The win was Al Hilal's second in a row to open the 2026–27 Roshn League season.
Sergej Milinković-Savić opened the scoring in the 31st minute. Sultan Mandash doubled the lead right after the restart in the 46th minute, before Nasser Al Dawsari sealed the result in the 88th minute for a comfortable 3-0 win.
The match statistics reflected a one-sided contest. Al Hilal controlled 61% of possession, created 13 big chances and posted a far higher expected-goals figure than the hosts. Karim Benzema started as the centre-forward in a 4-1-4-1 setup and registered a shot late in the game, though the goals came from the midfield trio.
The result lifted Al Hilal to six points from their opening two matches, putting them top of the table on a provisional basis until the remaining fixtures in the round are completed.
For fans across the Kingdom, the strong start builds on an unbeaten 2025–26 league campaign in which Al Hilal finished two points behind champions. The club had already opened the new season with King's Cup wins over Al Faisaly (4-2) and Al Raed (2-0) before this away victory in the league.
