Al Nassr Beat Al Fateh 3-0 to Top Pro League

Al Nassr launched their 2026–27 Saudi Pro League title defence in commanding fashion, beating Al Fateh 3–0 at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh on 15 August 2026 in the opening round of the season.

The hosts settled the contest before the break with two quick goals. Ângelo Gabriel opened the scoring in the 37th minute, and João Félix doubled the lead in the 40th minute to make it 2–0 at half-time. Samú Costa added the third in the 73rd minute, sealing a comfortable win.

Al Nassr managed the second half calmly to protect a clean sheet and finish 3–0. Notably, Cristiano Ronaldo did not feature in the match, with the defending champions naming a starting line-up without him.

The result put Al Nassr on 3 points with a goal difference of +3, placing them top of the table after Matchweek 1. The match kicked off at around 20:00 local time.

For fans across Riyadh and beyond, the opening-day performance signals a confident start to the title defence and offers an early gauge of the champions' form as the new season gets under way.
