Al Nassr staged a strong comeback to defeat Al Ettifaq 3–2 in the third round of the 2026–27 Roshn Saudi Pro League, played at the IGO/EGO Stadium in Dammam on 25 August 2026. The result lifted Al Nassr to the top of the table.
Al Ettifaq controlled the first half and built a two-goal lead. Ondrej Duda opened the scoring in the 31st minute, before Álvaro Medrán doubled the advantage deep into first-half stoppage time in the 45+3.
The second half told a different story. Sadio Mané pulled one back in the 74th minute, and Abdulelah Al Amri levelled the match just three minutes later in the 77th. Mané then completed his brace and sealed the win in stoppage time, striking again to make it 3–2.
With two goals to his name, Mané was rated among the standout performers of the match by several statistical services. His finishing proved decisive in turning a difficult night into three points for the visitors.
Why it matters
The victory keeps Al Nassr perfect this season with three wins from three matches, 10 goals scored and only 2 conceded, for a goal difference of +8. That leaves the club on 9 points and in first place in the league table.
Al Ettifaq, meanwhile, remained on 6 points from three games. For fans across the Kingdom following the new season, the early rounds are shaping an increasingly competitive title race in the Saudi Pro League.
