Al Ittihad Beat Al Qadsiah 1-0, Stay Unbeaten

Al Ittihad edged Al Qadsiah 1–0 on Friday, 21 August 2026, in a Round 2 clash of the 2026–27 Roshn Saudi League, played at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.

The decisive moment arrived deep into first-half stoppage time, when George Ilenikhena struck the winner in the 45+1' minute. The forward finished with his left foot after being set up by a pass from Steven Bergwijn.

Al Ittihad's task grew harder early in the second half. Dion Lopy was shown a second yellow card around the 47th minute and sent off, forcing the team to play the remainder of the match with ten men. Despite the numerical disadvantage, they held on to protect their slender lead and secure the three points.

Why it matters

The victory keeps Al Ittihad unbeaten to start the new campaign. With a win and a draw from their opening two matches, the club sits near the top of the table on 4 points with a positive goal difference — an encouraging early return for supporters in Jeddah and beyond.

For fans planning to attend upcoming fixtures, match-day access to Saudi Pro League games is handled through electronic ticketing platforms and club channels. No government e-services are required to attend, and ticket prices are set by the club and league organizers, varying by seating category and stadium.
