Al Nassr Comeback Beats Al Ettifaq 3-2 in Dammam

Al Nassr staged a dramatic second-half comeback to defeat Al Ettifaq 3-2 in a Saudi Pro League Matchday 3 clash played on 25 August 2026 at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd / Abdullah Al Dabil Stadium in Dammam, in front of around 8,500 spectators.

The visitors made things difficult for themselves early. Goalkeeper Bento was sent off in the 12th minute, leaving Al Nassr to play more than 75 minutes with ten men. Al Ettifaq took full advantage, with Ondrej Duda opening the scoring in the 31st minute and Álvaro Medrán adding a second in first-half stoppage time to make it 2-0 at the break.

The second half told a different story. Sadio Mané pulled one back in the 74th minute, and Abdulelah Al-Amri levelled the score three minutes later. Mané then completed his brace and sealed the turnaround with a 90th-minute winner, securing all three points despite the numerical disadvantage.

Why it matters

The result keeps Al Nassr top of the Saudi Pro League table with a perfect record: three wins from three matches, nine points and a goal difference of +8. Al Ettifaq drop to six points from three games, with two wins and one loss, but remain in the upper half of the standings.
