Al Nassr held 1-1 by Al Khaleej in Pro League

Al Nassr were held to a 1–1 draw away to Al Khaleej on Saturday, 12 September 2026, at EGO Stadium in Dammam, in the seventh round of the 2026–27 Roshn Saudi Pro League.

Al Khaleej took the lead through Omar Mascarell in first-half stoppage time (45’+1), before Saudi forward Abdullah Al-Hamdan equalised for the visitors in the 72nd minute. Cristiano Ronaldo was part of the Al Nassr squad for the fixture, but it was Al-Hamdan who found the net.

The result left Al Nassr on 16 points from seven matches — five wins, one draw and one defeat — in third place. They now sit one point behind second-placed Al Ittihad and two points behind leaders Al Hilal, who remained top on 18 points.

The draw meant Al Nassr missed the chance to move level on points with Al Hilal at the summit. For Al Khaleej, the single point lifted them to five points, keeping them in the lower half of the table around 12th place and still searching for their first league win of the season.

With the title race tightening at the top after seven rounds, dropped points at this stage carry added weight for a side chasing the leaders. For fans across the Kingdom, the fixture underlined how competitive the early weeks of the campaign have become, with only two points separating the top three clubs.
