Al Nassr Held to 1-1 Draw at Al Khaleej

Al Nassr were held to a 1-1 draw away to Al Khaleej in round 7 of the Saudi Pro League (Roshn), played on 12 September 2026 at Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, with kick-off in the evening. The result cost the Riyadh club two valuable points in its pursuit of the league leaders.

The hosts struck first through Omar Mascarell, who found the net in first-half stoppage time at 45+1 minutes to send Al Khaleej into the break with the lead. Al Nassr responded in the second half, with Abdullah Al-Hamdan levelling the score in the 72nd minute to secure a share of the points.

The draw leaves Al Nassr third in the table with 16 points from seven matches, having recorded five wins, one draw and one defeat, alongside a goal difference of +9. They remain two points behind leaders Al Hilal, who top the standings with 18 points, and one point behind second-placed Al Ittihad on 17.

For Al Khaleej, the point moves them onto five for the season, keeping them 13th after seven rounds with no wins, five draws and two defeats. The result also extends a difficult recent stretch for Al Nassr on the road, following a 2-1 away loss to Al Ittihad in their previous away outing.

With the title race tightly bunched at the top, the dropped points make the coming rounds increasingly significant for Al Nassr as they look to close the gap and stay in contention.
