Green Riyadh Tree-Planting Drive at Shuaib Umm Qasr

Green Riyadh is inviting residents to take part in a tree-planting and environmental cleanup campaign at Shuaib Umm Qasr in Riyadh on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The one-day campaign is open to male and female volunteers from all community groups. Participants will spend the afternoon planting trees and clearing the site as part of wider efforts to expand green cover across the capital.

The initiative is organized by Green Riyadh, which operates under the oversight of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. Volunteers who join the campaign will receive volunteer certificates in recognition of their participation.

Why it matters

Community planting drives like this one give residents a direct way to contribute to a greener Riyadh, supporting cleaner air, more shade, and healthier public spaces. The campaign also offers families, students, and first-time volunteers an accessible opportunity to get involved in an outdoor environmental activity for a few hours.

No participation fee has been announced, and no specific registration procedure has been shared for the event. As a one-day activity, the campaign has a set date and time, with volunteers gathering at Shuaib Umm Qasr for the scheduled afternoon session.
