Saudi Arabia is opening new employment and practical-training opportunities for its citizens through the upcoming Khaleeji 27 tournament, set to take place in Jeddah from 23 September to 6 October 2026.
The event is generating jobs and hands-on training across a wide range of fields, including match operations, fan reception, crowd management, logistics, media, marketing, customer service, transport, hospitality, and technical operations. The aim is to build a skilled Saudi workforce ready for future major events, notably the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027.
Current vacancies are listed through the Ministry of Sport employment portal. Saudi citizens can also create employment profiles and upload their qualifications, experience, and documents through Jadarat, the National Unified Employment Platform. No application fee, training fee, salary figure, or contract duration has been stated in the available official information.
Sports-sector localization
Separately, a localization decision for the sports sector will take effect on 18 November 2026. Under it, private sports centers and gyms with at least four workers must localize 15% of positions.
The decision covers 12 roles, including sports coach, fitness trainer, football coach, sports supervisor, personal trainer, water-sports coach, athletics coach, ice-sports coach, equestrian coach, self-defense coach, and ball-sports coach.
For residents and citizens alike, these steps signal growing career pathways in Saudi Arabia's expanding sports and events industry, offering practical experience today and clearer job prospects as the Kingdom prepares to host larger tournaments in the coming years.
