Rural farms in Madinah are emerging as a popular summer destination, attracting residents and visitors looking for family outings and agrotourism experiences. The venues operate as open private attractions and tour spots, and require no special government permits for Saudi or resident visitors beyond standard tourism booking and payment.
The main hub is the Aliat Al-Madinah farms in the Al-Alia neighborhood, along Ali ibn Abi Talib Road near the Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz intersection in Madinah city. Visitors can walk through date farms, relax in seating areas, enjoy family picnic and children's play spaces, and sample basic food and drinks. Some farms host occasional cultural or heritage shows during the evenings.
Access is available through direct on-site entry or pre-booked passes, with payments made in Saudi Riyal. On the Madinah official tourism portal, a "Farm Tour in Madinah" is listed from 233.10 SAR with a minimum of two people and a non-refundable policy. Many tours run on Tuesdays and Fridays, with some curated group experiences starting from 897 SAR and capacity for around 200 people.
What visitors can expect
Named venues include Social Farm in Madinah province, where on-site entry starts at 10 SAR and 20 SAR for a standard VIP seat. A VIP area for one to eight people, including hospitality, is priced at 300 SAR. Multi-day passes via private apps run at 249 SAR for one day, 379 SAR for two days, and 499 SAR for three days.
The trend reflects growing agrotourism demand for 2025–2026, offering families in Madinah an accessible, nature-focused option for evening and weekend outings. Visitors should note that tour bookings are valid only for the booked date and time, and passes are valid only for the number of days purchased.
