MOJ Launches Early Settlement Service for Financial Claims

The Ministry of Justice has launched a new service called “Early Settlement” (التسوية المبكرة) for financial claims, made available in 2026 through the ناجز judicial services platform. The service is designed to help parties reduce claim amounts and reschedule payment obligations before or instead of full litigation.

The service focuses specifically on financial claims and offers several options where parties reach agreement. These include reducing the principal amount of a claim, extending repayment periods beyond the original due dates, and setting installment plans with defined values and schedules.

Beneficiaries access the service by logging into their ناجز account using the national digital identity, نفاذ. The claim-owning entity submits a settlement proposal through a structured form, and the beneficiary can review the offer directly on the platform and either accept it, reject it, or negotiate changes within the platform's rules.

If the parties reach agreement, a settlement document is issued and approved digitally, carrying legal validity through the same mechanisms used in the Ministry's conciliation (تراضي) services. The early settlement service complements existing tools on ناجز, such as pre-action financial claim notifications that allow creditors to notify debtors of amounts due and payment deadlines before proceeding to court.

For residents and businesses in the Kingdom, the service offers a faster and more flexible route to resolve financial obligations. By enabling restructured amounts and installment schedules through a fully digital channel, it can help both creditors and debtors avoid lengthy court processes and reach practical, legally binding arrangements.
