New Book Documents AlUla's Umm Daraj Lihyan Site

The Royal Commission for AlUla has published a new scholarly book titled “Umm Daraj: Beacon of the Lihyan Kingdom,” authored by Dr. Hussein bin Ali Abu Al Hassan and released in three languages: Arabic, English, and French. The book documents one of the most significant Lihyanite archaeological sites in AlUla.

The publication presents archaeological studies, fieldwork results, and discoveries from the Umm Daraj site, which dates back to the 3rd and 2nd centuries BCE and is associated with the Lihyan Kingdom. It is described as a specialized scholarly reference for researchers and readers interested in the region's ancient history.

For those wishing to obtain a copy inside Saudi Arabia, the book is available through the Commission's physical sales outlets: the store in AlUla Old Town, the gift shop at the Hegra archaeological site, and the Commission's outlet at AlUla International Airport terminal.

The book is sold exclusively through these physical outlets. There is no requirement to use platforms such as أبشر, مقيم, قوى, ناجز, نفاذ, or توكلنا to purchase or access it, and no official price, ticket bundle, or online purchase fee has been publicly stated in current Saudi channels.

As a standard publication, the book carries no specific validity period and remains available as long as it is in stock at the outlets. For general information or future updates on the Commission's publications, the official channel is the Royal Commission for AlUla through its official website and media resources section. The release adds to AlUla's growing body of documented heritage, offering residents and visitors a deeper look at the region's rich archaeological legacy.
