New Multiple-Entry Umrah Visa: One-Year Validity

Saudi Living reports the launch of new Umrah visitor experience packages offered to tourism and Umrah companies, aimed at diversifying the services available to pilgrims. The move is anchored by a new multiple-entry Umrah visa and an expanded role for the Nusuk digital platform.

The new multiple-entry Umrah visa is valid for 365 days from the date of issue, with a total permitted stay of 90 days across all entries. The visa is inactive during the Hajj season and is reactivated for later visits once regulatory requirements are met.

Each entry under the visa requires the purchase of an Umrah service package from an approved provider on the Nusuk Umrah platform. The package duration must not exceed the remaining visa days, and an Umrah permit is obtained through Nusuk before arrival. After departure, the visa is deactivated and then reactivated when the pilgrim meets the requirements and books a new package for a subsequent visit.

Nusuk remains the primary official digital platform for Umrah visitor experience packages. Comprehensive options can include visa issuance, flights, accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, meals, intercity transportation, and guidance. Foreign pilgrims generally book through approved national and global travel platforms integrated with Nusuk.

Diversifying the experience

Companies are being guided to broaden their offerings by combining Umrah with curated visits to historical and cultural sites in Makkah. The initiative draws on programs organized in Makkah for more than 70 Umrah and travel entities representing over 3 million pilgrims, and includes four destinations and four curated experiences that operators can add to their packages.

A pilot tourism package visa also combines flights, licensed accommodation, and an e-visa application in one integrated package linked to Nusuk. There are no fixed official price tables; package prices vary by provider, duration, and included services, and are displayed dynamically on Nusuk and integrated platforms.
