Saudi Premium Residency: Investor & Entrepreneur Routes

Investors and entrepreneurs looking to establish long-term roots in Saudi Arabia can apply for Premium Residency through two dedicated routes, each with its own eligibility criteria and a fee of SAR 4,000. Applications are submitted online through the Premium Residency Center portal, which is the primary channel for both products.

For the Investor Residency, applicants need a valid investment license, an investment of at least SAR 7 million in qualifying Saudi economic activities, and the creation of at least 10 jobs. The Entrepreneur Residency targets founders with an approved Saudi startup investment or funding of at least SAR 400,000 through an entity approved by the Premium Residency Center. A higher entrepreneur category requires at least SAR 15 million in approved investment or funding, with 10 direct jobs created in the first year and 10 more in the second.

Common requirements

All applicants must provide a valid passport, a clean criminal record, a medical report confirming freedom from communicable diseases, and proof of financial solvency. Those applying from inside the Kingdom must hold lawful current Saudi residency.

The application steps are straightforward: create an account on the portal, choose the Investor or Entrepreneur Residency, complete the electronic form, and upload passport, financial, criminal-record, medical, and qualifying investment or funding documents. After verification, the applicable fee is paid.

The structured entrepreneur categories, with the SAR 400,000 and SAR 15 million thresholds, reflect a push to attract both early-stage founders and larger investors. For the expat business community, these routes offer a clearer, long-term residency option tied to real economic contribution in the Kingdom.
