Entrepreneurs and small-business owners in Saudi Arabia can issue a Commercial Registration (CR) entirely online through the Ministry of Commerce's electronic services via the Saudi Business Center, with most applications processed immediately after requirements and payment are completed.
For a sole establishment, the main CR costs SAR 200, with an additional SAR 100 for each branch registration. Instead of a traditional fixed multi-year renewal, the CR is now subject to an annual confirmation of its data, which costs SAR 500.
The process typically begins by signing in with the national digital identity, then selecting the option to issue a CR for an establishment. Applicants enter the business, owner, address, and activity details, submit the request, issue the payment invoice, and pay through SADAD or a bank card before downloading the issued CR.
Company registration fees
Fees differ for companies. A limited liability company's CR costs SAR 1,200, while a general or limited partnership costs SAR 1,000, plus a SAR 500 publication fee. A 15% value-added tax applies to applicable company-establishment fees.
It is worth noting that ناجز is used for Ministry of Justice services and is not the primary channel for issuing an ordinary Ministry of Commerce CR. For any questions, the Ministry of Commerce provides support through its unified number, 1900.
The streamlined digital process matters for the community because it lowers the barrier to formalizing a business, supports residents and entrepreneurs looking to launch ventures, and reflects the wider push toward faster, paperless government services across the Kingdom.
