Postecoglou named Al Nassr head coach on two-year deal

Al Nassr has confirmed Postecoglou as its new head coach after he signed a two-season contract and began work at the club's headquarters in Riyadh. The manager has already started preparing the squad for the upcoming campaign.

Speaking after taking charge, Postecoglou said his goal is to win trophies and to help Al Nassr move to the next level following the club's recent league title. He framed his arrival as a fresh chapter built on the momentum of that success.

Preparations for the 2026-27 season are now under way, with the coach leading training sessions and getting to know his players on the ground. The early start gives the technical staff time to shape a plan ahead of competitive fixtures.

For fans in Riyadh and across the Kingdom, the appointment signals continued ambition at one of Saudi football's most followed clubs. Al Nassr's growing profile has drawn wider attention to the Saudi Pro League, and the new coaching setup adds another storyline for the season ahead.

With a clear mandate to compete for silverware, attention now turns to how the team performs once the new campaign gets going.
