Qiddiya has unveiled plans for a major National Tennis Centre within Qiddiya City, located roughly 45 km west of Riyadh. The complex is designed to seat 33,000 spectators across its venues, with construction already under way.
The centre will feature 30 courts in total: 28 hard courts and two clay courts. These are split into six competition courts, six indoor courts and 14 practice courts, all planned to meet ATP, WTA and ITF standards.
At the heart of the development is a Centre Court with 15,000 seats and a retractable roof. It is joined by Court 1 with 5,000 seats and Court 2 with 2,000 seats. Court 3 will hold 8,000 seats and is being designed as a multi-use sports and entertainment arena, also fitted with a retractable roof.
Why it matters
The project adds a world-class tennis facility to the Kingdom's growing sports infrastructure, positioning Qiddiya City as a destination capable of hosting top-tier international tournaments close to the capital. The mix of competition, indoor and practice courts also points to year-round use for players and events.
No public opening date has been announced yet. Details on ticket prices, operating hours and how visitors can book have not been released. Saudi Living will share updates as they become available.
