Qiddiya Unveils Gaming and Esports District

القدية announced plans for a dedicated Gaming and Esports District within Qiddiya City, located approximately 40 km southwest of الرياض. The announcement was made on 14 December 2023 as part of the ongoing development of the entertainment megaproject.

the district will feature four esports arenas with a combined seating capacity of roughly 73,000 spectators. The largest planned arena is set to hold about 5,300 seats and will include one of the world's largest indoor LED screens designed for an esports venue.

The district is designed as a full ecosystem for competitive gaming. Plans call for capacity to host up to 25 esports clubs, alongside regional headquarters for more than 30 video-game companies, positioning القدية as a hub for the sector in the region.

What This Means for the Community

For residents and gaming fans across الرياض and beyond, the project signals a major long-term investment in competitive gaming and live entertainment. It aligns with the broader goals of expanding leisure and cultural options in the Kingdom.

As of 2026, the district remains a Qiddiya City development project. There are no confirmed publicly listed operating venues, ticket prices, opening hours, or booking procedures for the district. Likewise, no official fees or procedures have been announced through any government platform for visiting or using the facilities. Separately advertised esports events in الرياض are not confirmed as taking place inside the district. سعودي ليفنج will share verified details on tickets, timings, and access once they are officially confirmed.
