Riyadh Derby Ends 1-1 as Al Nassr Draw Al Hilal

Al Nassr and Al Hilal played out a 1-1 draw in the Riyadh derby on 12 May 2026 at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh, in one of the most anticipated fixtures of the Saudi Pro League season.

Mohamed Simakan put Al Nassr in front, before the visitors were level in dramatic fashion. The equaliser came in stoppage time through an own goal from Bento, sharing the points between the capital's two biggest clubs.

The result adds another chapter to the fierce rivalry between the two sides, and it is recorded as a draw in the 2025–26 head-to-head between Al Nassr and Al Hilal.

Why it matters

The Riyadh derby remains one of the standout events on the local football calendar, drawing large crowds to Al-Awwal Park and huge interest from fans across the Kingdom. A late, dramatic finish only added to the occasion for supporters of both clubs.

With both teams continuing their Saudi Pro League campaigns, the shared points keep the title race and the rivalry between the two Riyadh giants closely balanced as the season progresses.
