Riyadh will host the Middle East's first humanoid robot kickboxing show, as the CyberHero robotic sports series makes its global debut in the Kingdom. The event, CyberHero x Riyadh, is scheduled for 9 September 2026 at 21:00 in MBC Studio 1, Boulevard City, with doors typically opening at 20:30.
The roughly two-hour show will feature ten EngineAI T800 humanoid robots competing in a purpose-built combat arena, alongside music, lighting, and immersive live entertainment, including a live DJ set by Tokyo Machine. Each T800 robot stands about 1.73 m tall, weighs 75–85 kg, and has 29 articulated joints that allow it to walk, run, punch, kick, turn, and recover after falls.
The competition pits two teams of three robots against each other in a best-of-seven series of one-on-one battles. Each robot starts with equal HP, which is reduced by hits to specific areas; a robot reaching zero HP is knocked out and replaced by a teammate. The team with more robots remaining wins, with ties settled by sudden death. Importantly, the robots are not fully autonomous — they are human-controlled, piloted by professional esports and Street Fighter players using advanced control systems.
Riyadh has been chosen as the first city in a planned series of CyberHero events in major cities worldwide, underlining the capital's growing role as a destination for global entertainment and technology firsts. The show will be held as an in-person, closed-door event with no live-stream; it will be professionally recorded, with highlights released later on CyberHero's official channels.
As of early September 2026, venue details, ticket categories, and exact prices in Saudi Riyal had not yet been publicly listed. Access appears to be arranged through CyberHero's own event channels rather than government e-services. Interested residents are advised to watch for official ticketing announcements ahead of the debut.
