Riyadh is set to become the first city in the Middle East and North Africa to host the TAFISA World Sport for All Games, with the Saudi Sports for All Federation preparing to welcome the 8th edition of the event in 2028.
The Games are expected to draw participants from more than 100 countries and to welcome over 70,000 visitors, marking a significant moment for community sport in the region.
Organizers plan a program that goes beyond competition, combining sport, culture, food, music, and education for people of different age groups. The idea is to make physical activity accessible and enjoyable for families, residents, and visitors alike.
Where the activities could take place
Several locations across Riyadh have been identified as potential venues, including public parks, shopping centers, and schools. Spreading activities across everyday community spaces is intended to encourage wider participation and bring the event closer to residents in their own neighborhoods.
For the Kingdom's growing community of residents and expats, the Games reflect the broader push to make sport part of daily life and to position Riyadh as a hub for international gatherings. With 2028 still ahead, it gives families and sports enthusiasts plenty of time to look forward to one of the largest community sport events ever held in the region.
At this stage, no official registration fees, ticket prices, venue schedule, exact event dates, visa procedures, or participation requirements have been announced. Saudi Living will share further details as they become available.
