Ronaldo Winner Sends Al Nassr Past Al Taawoun 2-1

Al Nassr came from behind to beat Al Taawoun 2-1 in round four of the 2026–27 Saudi Pro League on Sunday evening at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the decisive goal to keep his side unbeaten at the top of the table.

Al Taawoun took the lead early through Mohammed Al Hurayji in the 11th minute. Al Nassr pushed back and levelled the score deep in first-half stoppage time, when Samú Costa found the net in the fifth added minute (45+5').

The comeback was completed just after the break. In the 50th minute, a shot from Mohammed Simakan inside the penalty area was deflected in off Ronaldo, giving Al Nassr a 2-1 lead they would hold until full-time.

A record for Ronaldo

The goal carried extra significance. It made Ronaldo Al Nassr's all-time leading scorer in the Saudi Pro League, moving him past Mohammed Al Sahlawi and taking his league tally for the club to 104. It was also his second league goal of the 2026–27 season.

The victory kept Al Nassr's perfect record intact, with four wins from four matches, and preserved their place at the summit of the standings at the time of the game.

For fans planning to attend Al Nassr's home fixtures at Al-Awwal Park, tickets are sold digitally through club-linked online platforms and approved electronic ticketing portals, with entry by e-ticket or QR code and ID verification. Prices for the cheapest categories typically start around 30–40 SAR, with most regular seats commonly in the 50–150 SAR range and central or VIP categories reaching around 200–300 SAR or more, depending on the opponent and category. Matches usually kick off in the evening, around 20:00–22:00 local time, with gates opening roughly two to three hours before kickoff.
