Attention has turned to the schedule of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, which is set to be hosted by Saudi Arabia from 7 January to 5 February 2027 across Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar.

The tournament is planned to feature 24 teams competing in 51 matches. The Saudi organising committee says preparations remain on schedule as host cities get ready to welcome fans and participating national teams.

Questions over the timeline emerged after attacks in Saudi Arabia led to some sporting events being postponed or cancelled. Against that backdrop, the Asian Football Confederation has left open the possibility of moving the tournament to 2028 if security disruptions continue.

At this stage, however, no postponement has been confirmed. There is no replacement host, no revised dates, and no official ticket prices or ticketing channel announced in the information currently available.

For residents and expats across the Kingdom, the Asian Cup is a major event on the regional calendar, drawing visitors from across the continent and placing Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar in the international spotlight. Saudi Living will continue to follow developments and share confirmed updates on dates, venues, and official ticketing once they are announced.
