Saudi Arabia has designated KSA VISA — the Unified National Platform for Visas under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — as the official national system for issuing and managing all visa services. The platform is accessible through ksavisa.sa and visa.mofa.gov.sa, and connects with more than 30 ministries, authorities, and private-sector entities.
Citizens and residents log in through the National Single Sign-On (Nafath), while individual visitors can create a separate platform account. The system brings a wide range of visa types under one roof, including tourist, business visit, employment and work visas, family and personal visit visas, government visit, study, medical treatment, and event visit visas, as well as Hajj and Umrah visit visas and Umrah office accreditation applications.
The platform uses AI and emerging technologies to verify data accuracy and improve efficiency. It offers a smart search engine to help users identify the visa they need, a centralized reference for requirements and procedures, and personal user profiles that make reviewing, reapplying for, and renewing visas simpler.
What it means for residents and visitors
KSA VISA sits under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is separate from platforms such as Absher, Muqeem, Qiwa, and Najiz, which continue to handle residency, labor, and justice services respectively. The Cabinet approved the unified platform in May 2022, and KSA VISA was formally launched in 2024.
During the transition, the existing eVisa system and Package Visa options continue to operate alongside KSA VISA. A full migration timeline has not yet been published, so applicants should confirm the correct channel for their specific visa type before applying.
