Saudi Arabia will host Qatar in an international friendly on 27 December 2026 in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, in a match set to open the new Aramco Stadium in the north of the city.
The venue has a planned capacity of around 47,000 spectators and sits within a complex covering approximately 800,000 square metres, making it one of the Eastern Province's major new sporting landmarks.
The friendly serves as preparation for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027, scheduled to take place from 7 January to 5 February 2027. The fixture gives the national team a high-profile test against a strong regional rival before the continental tournament begins.
For the local community, the opening match offers an early chance to experience a new large-scale stadium in Al Khobar and signals the Eastern Province's growing role in hosting major football events in the Kingdom.
Ticket prices, sale dates, seating categories, entry requirements, and the official ticketing channel have not yet been announced. Saudi Living will share updates once further details are confirmed.
