Cement sales in Saudi Arabia held broadly steady in August 2026, with total volumes reaching about 4.58 million tonnes across the Kingdom, nearly unchanged from around 4.59 million tonnes in the same month of 2025. Modest growth in local demand offset a decline in exports, official monthly data covering 17 cement companies showed.
Domestic sales rose slightly to about 4.49 million tonnes, up roughly 0.4–0.5% year-on-year from around 4.47 million tonnes. Export volumes, however, fell about 18% to some 92,000 tonnes, down from about 112,000 tonnes a year earlier. On a monthly basis, total sales slipped around 1% compared with July 2026, driven mainly by weaker export volumes.
Saudi Cement Company was the largest exporter during the month, shipping about 52,000 tonnes, or roughly 57% of total exports. Al Jouf Cement exported about 18,000 tonnes, Najran Cement about 15,000 tonnes (down roughly 32% year-on-year), and Eastern Cement about 7,000 tonnes, roughly double its volume from a year earlier.
For residents and businesses, retail prices remain a useful reference. Bagged cement typically ranges from about SAR 12.5 to SAR 14 equal to roughly SAR 67 to SAR 75 with the lowest prices generally found in the Eastern Region.
The stability points to steady construction activity as building and infrastructure projects continue across the country. The overall Saudi cement market is estimated to reach around SAR 16.08 billion in 2026, with annual growth close to 6.7%, covering Portland, blended, specialty and green cement products.
