WTM Spotlight Riyadh Tourism Trade Event Opens 2026

Riyadh welcomed the launch of the first WTM Spotlight Riyadh, a trade-only tourism and travel event, officially opened on 8 September 2026 by Saudi Tourism Authority CEO Ageel AlShaibani at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Centre (RFECC), near King Khalid International Airport.

The event runs from 8 to 10 September 2026, with daily opening hours from 13:00 to 21:00 across all three days. It is designed as a business-to-business (B2B) gathering focused on inbound and outbound travel, tourism investment, and the visitor-economy growth targeted under رؤية السعودية 2030.

The inaugural edition brings together around 450 to 500 tourism and travel exhibitors, with an estimated 6,500 to 15,000 regional and international trade visitors expected over the three days. About 150 hosted buyers are attending on an invitation basis with a pre-arranged programme. Participants include tourism boards, airlines, hotels, travel agencies, destination management companies, and travel technology providers.

Who can attend

Entry is limited to industry professionals only, with no general public access. Trade visitors must register online in advance through the official WTM Spotlight Riyadh platform, and on-site access at RFECC is granted upon successful registration and issuance of an event badge.

No visitor admission fee in Saudi Riyal is publicly listed, as registration is described as trade-only online admission. Exhibitor packages, stand prices, and sponsorship fees are provided on request through the organizer's official channels and are not published in open information. Hosted buyers attend by invitation, with costs and incentives handled directly by the organizer.

The arrival of a dedicated trade tourism platform in the capital signals Riyadh's growing role as a hub for the regional travel industry, offering local professionals a new opportunity to connect with international partners and explore investment prospects.
