Saudi FDI Inflows Rise 33.5% to SAR 159.1bn in 2025

Foreign direct investment flowing into Saudi Arabia rose sharply in 2025, with inflows reaching SAR 159.1 billion, a 33.5% increase on the SAR 119.2 billion recorded in 2024. The figures were reviewed by the Cabinet, which tied the gains to the Kingdom's economic and structural reforms under Vision 2030.

Net foreign direct investment flows stood at SAR 81.4 billion, up 1.7% from the previous year, while outflows nearly doubled, climbing 98.5% to SAR 77.7 billion. By the end of 2025, the Kingdom's total foreign direct investment stock had reached SAR 1,058.8 billion, an increase of 8.3%.

Why it matters

The rise in inflows points to growing international confidence in the Saudi economy as the Kingdom continues to open new sectors to global investors and streamline the way businesses are established and run. These are the latest annual Saudi-specific figures available.

For residents and the wider business community in Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond, stronger investment typically translates into new companies, job opportunities and expanded services across the economy. The continued growth in investment stock also signals that capital already committed to the Kingdom is deepening rather than retreating.
